The students are divided into groups of three or four. Each group is given a set of cards, which they shuffle and place face down in a pile on the table. The students then play a guessing game to practice the present perfect with 'just'. The students take it in turns to pick up a card and read the expression in bold to the group, e.g. 'I'll get it'. The other students then try to guess what has just happened by making present perfect sentences with 'You've just...' The first student to guess the correct answer wins and keeps the card, e.g. 'You've just heard a knock at the door'. The next student then picks up a card and so on. If students are unable to guess the exact answer, a close enough answer can be accepted. The game continues until all the cards have been used.
